Why Did Timofey Mozgov Get $64 Million?

              As I wake up, I check my phone, and something catches my eye. an ESPN alert reads, "Lakers and UFA C Timofey Mozgov agree to an 4 year, $64 million contract." WHAT? TIMOFEY MOZGOV? $64 MILLION? ARE THE LAKERS TRYING TO PUSH AWAY BIG NAME FREE-AGENTS? I am still baffled by this move. Why would the Lakers, a team that is rebuilding, spend $64 million on a guy who sucks?

              Mozgov only played 76 minutes out of the Cavaliers 24 playoff games, and only scored 15 points, and only grabbed 21 rebounds. You pay $64 million to that guy? The guy who's number was called on to play only 13 times in the playoffs? A guy who only scored 6.3 points and 4.4 rebounds? A guy who sure, might have scored 15 points grabbed 10 rebounds, and blocked 2 shots a game back in 2013, but that was 2013 and we're in 2016. 

             Overall, this was a move out of desperation by the Lakers, but it was one of the worst desperation moves you can possibly make. Disgraceful.
